Big NEWS from CMI
As we see winter approaching we are excited to reflect on all that God has done this fall. It was a season where much work was accomplished locally and abroad. Our primary mission to “leverage media to reach the masses and plant churches” often takes us to local churches in the states to extend their reach as well. Below you will find brief reports of many exciting things that were accomplished in recent months.
RU/Rockford – CMI completed the build out of a new television studio for RU in Rockford.
They will be using this new studio to produce programming for their addictions program to air nationally as well as on-line. We are excited to partner with such a great ministry to help those who are addicted receive the truth of scripture that will make them free.
Ukraine – We are pleased to announce a new radio studio with Pastor Paul Dudka, where he is broadcasting his radio program into 13 mountain regions near his main church. CMI also sponsors four bible college students that will pastor the churches in these regions as soon as they are ready.
Liberia – It was a pleasure to have Pastor Dahn Demey in our studios in Dawsonville, GA. He recorded over 25 television programs in a weeks time. He already has Liberty Radio in Monrovia, Liberia. He will now be expanding to television in the capital of Liberia. We are excited to see how God uses this television program in his country.
Honduras – Due to some ministry changes we are moving our television station in Honduras from Cantarranas to the northeast region in the town of Sonaguera. Our partner there is Josue Andrade. He will take oversight of our 24 hour a day Spanish television station there. Please pray that God will use it in a mighty way to reach the country of Honduras. We need to raise approximately $4,000 to move the station, and send down technical support to make sure it is running correctly. Please also pray that we will be able to raise the money quickly.
Thailand – We are only $500 short of the goal of $9,000 to take our mobile television studio to Thailand in January. We will be recording four different language programs for television. One of those languages is the Laotian language. To our knowledge, we will be the first to record Christian television programs for the communist country of Laos. We are excited to partner with FBMI to complete this much anticipated trip.
We have many plans for 2017. One of our major plans is to continue to help missionaries use media to expand their reach. We will be traveling to many major international conferences to aid missionaries in how they can expand their reach through radio and television. Eddie graduated from The Ohio State University School of Broadcasting with a degree in Broadcast Sales and Marketing. He studied marketing at Georgia Tech and business management at Emory University. His degree in Theology is from Hyles- Anderson College. He is now the President of Affinity Worldwide and speaks at business conferences across the country. His passion for using Media to reach the world with the gospel keeps him on the road helping churches and missionaries alike understand how to best use the tools that we have been given to be most effective.
